The Western States Equestrian Drill Team Association
General Information
|
The Western States Equestrian Drill Team Association, commonly referred to as WSEDTA, was formed in January 2002 by drill teams from the West Coast. WSEDTA was incorporated in the State of California on March 21, 2002 and has since grown to the largest equestrian drill team association in the Southwest. WSEDTA’s success is based upon its support of established drill teams as well as its dedication to new drill teams and teams that are just forming. WSEDTA puts on multiple competitions each year and sanctions a growing number of other drill team events. WSEDTA holds drill team judging certification courses and provides local seminars for drill team riders. Basically, WSEDTA does whatever it can do to support and promote the sport of equestrian drill team riding. WSEDTA embraces the concept that the more input provided by drill team riders, the better WSEDTA will be for the sport. Therefore, membership is open to any drill team and/or individual interested in equestrian drill. Click on the “Membership” button above for further details. WSEDTA holds a general membership meeting every year, generally in January, as well as three other quarterly board meetings. The WSEDTA board of directors is elected directly from the WSEDTA membership at the general membership meeting thereby allowing drill teams and individuals interested in drill teams to have control over their organization.
